No-fix-no-fee, and why it's not just a slogan
Plenty of places advertise no-fix-no-fee and then charge a "diagnostic fee" when the answer is no. Ours doesn't work like that: if we can't repair it, there is nothing to pay, including for the time spent finding out. That matters most on the two faults where the answer genuinely isn't knowable up front — liquid damage and a phone that won't turn on. Those are exactly the repairs where a diagnostic charge would sting, because they're the ones most likely to come back unfixable. If yours is one of them, you're risking nothing by asking.
What we'll tell you that a repair shop usually won't
Sometimes the honest answer is don't repair it. A phone with liquid damage that's been sitting for weeks, or an older handset needing a repair worth more than half its working value, is often better traded in — and because we buy phones as well as fix them, we can tell you that without losing the customer. You'll also get told when a battery doesn't need replacing, or when a phone that feels slow after an update just needs time to settle rather than new parts. We'd rather give the answer that's right than the one that bills.

We collect from and return to your door across Dewsbury, Batley, Heckmondwike, Mirfield, Cleckheaton, Birstall — free on repairs over £50, £10 under. Anywhere else in the UK we repair by post from £50 up, with both labels free and an insured Special Delivery return. Below £50 the postage outruns the repair, so those are local jobs.
