What does 'refurbished' mean?

A refurbished phone is a pre-owned device that has been thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned and repaired where necessary. Every device is diagnostically tested through our Phonecheck partnership before it goes on sale. It's not just a second-hand phone — it's a properly tested, honestly graded device at a fraction of the new price.

What are the condition grades?

We sell devices in two grades, defined in our Device Grading Guide. Like New: effectively brand new — a flawless display and housing with no signs of use. Good: fully functional with only light display scratches and a housing in good condition. Both are 100% OEM parts, fully tested and honestly graded, with battery health stated on every listing. (Our Poor and Faulty grades apply to trade-in valuations only — we never sell them.)

Are your phones tested before sale?

Yes — every device is put through a full functional diagnostic (screen, cameras, speakers, charging, biometrics and battery) and verified through our Phonecheck partnership before it's listed. You also get 14-day returns, so you can be sure it's right.

Do your phones come with a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every device is covered by a 24-month warranty against any fault not caused by you — hardware faults and manufacturing defects. If a covered fault appears at any point in those 24 months, we'll repair or replace the device. The warranty does not cover accidental, liquid or other user-caused damage, and it sits on top of your 14-day returns.

Are phones SIM-free / unlocked?

Most of our phones are listed as Unlocked, meaning they work with any UK network. Some are listed as network-specific (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three). This is shown clearly on every listing.

How fast is delivery?

Accepted Answer

Every device is individually sourced and quality-checked by a technician before it ships, so orders are dispatched within 2–4 working days. Devices then travel by Royal Mail Special Delivery — fully tracked, insured to their full value and signed for — and you'll get your tracking number by email the moment we dispatch. If anything looks like taking longer, we'll message you before you need to ask.

Can I return a phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind and return any device for a full refund — no reason needed (return postage is yours on change-of-mind returns). Separately, if a device develops a fault within 30 days we'll refund, repair or replace it and cover postage both ways, and every device is covered by our 24-month warranty after that. How does the trade-in process work?

1) Get an instant quote on our Sell / Trade-In page. 2) If you're happy, confirm your details. 3) We send you a free tracked postage pack. 4) Ship your device to us. 5) We inspect it and confirm the final offer. 6) You receive payment within 24 hours.

How are trade-in prices calculated?

Prices are based on the model, storage size and condition of your device, graded against our Device Grading Guide. Condition multipliers: Like New = 100%, Good = 85%, Poor = 65%, Faulty = 35% of the base price.

What if the condition is different to what I stated?

Accepted Answer

We inspect every device on arrival. If the actual condition differs from what you selected, we'll contact you with a revised offer before proceeding. You can always ask us to return your device at no charge if you don't accept.

How will I be paid?

We pay by bank transfer, usually within 24 hours of approving your device.

Do you accept non-iPhone devices?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we accept iPhone, Samsung and Google Pixel devices. Start with the trade-in tool, or message us on WhatsApp for a manual quote on any other model.

How does a repair work?

Get an instant fixed-price quote on our Repairs page, then choose how it reaches us: post it in, drop it off in person, or — around Dewsbury and Batley — have us collect and return it to your door for £10. We arrange the posting or drop-off details with you individually when you book. Either way you get a repair ID to track every stage online, and it's returned fully tested, usually within a few days.

How long do repairs take?

Screens and batteries booked in before 12 noon are usually completed the same day — parts for common models are always in stock. Other repairs are typically done within 24–48 hours of us receiving your device. Your repair tracking page shows a live status and estimated completion time.

Do you use genuine parts?

We use high-quality compatible parts for most repairs, or original manufacturer parts where required and available. We'll always be transparent about which parts we're using.

Do you stand behind your repairs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — screen replacements carry a 24-month warranty, battery replacements a 12-month warranty, and all other repairs a 90-day warranty, each covering the part we fitted and the workmanship of that repair. And it's no-fix-no-fee: every repair starts with a diagnosis and a fixed quote, no work happens until you approve it, and if we can't fix your device you don't pay for the repair. Yes. Every repair gets a unique ID you enter on our Track page for a live status timeline — Received, Diagnosing, In Progress, Quality Check, Ready — updated by our workshop as we go.
