Should you buy an iPad Air M2 (6th Gen) 11-inch in 2026?
At 2 and a half years old the iPad Air M2 (6th Gen) 11-inch sits in the sweet spot: the steepest depreciation has already happened, it runs the latest software without compromise, and it has years of updates ahead. This is the age we recommend most buyers target.
Apple has historically kept iPhones on the latest iOS for around six to seven years after launch, so an iPad Air M2 (6th Gen) 11-inch released in 2024 can reasonably be expected to receive updates into 2030–2031.
