Phone screen repair costs in the UK (2026 price guide)
A cracked screen is the most common phone injury in Britain, and the repair market for it is a jungle: the same fix can be quoted at £45 in one shop and £250 in another, with neither price telling you much about quality. Here is how the pricing actually works, and what you should expect to pay in 2026.
Typical UK prices by device
Older iPhones (11, 12, SE): £85–£150. Recent iPhones (13, 14, 15 series): £150–£250. Latest Pro models: £250–£330. Samsung Galaxy S-series: £110–£290 depending on generation — Samsung's curved AMOLED panels are among the priciest to replace. Google Pixels: £130–£230.
Why the spread? The screen is 60–80% of the repair cost, and there are three tiers of part: genuine, high-grade aftermarket (excellent, indistinguishable to most users), and budget aftermarket (dimmer, fragile, poor touch response). A £45 quote for a recent flagship means a budget panel — you will feel the difference within a week.
The two rip-offs to avoid
The first is the vague quote: 'from £39' signage that becomes £120 once your phone is on the bench and you are psychologically committed. Any competent repairer can price your exact model and fault before you hand anything over — that is why our repair portal shows a fixed price for your device and fault combination in seconds, honoured for 14 days.
The second is the silent parts swap: paying a genuine-part price for a budget panel. Protect yourself by asking one question — 'what happens to my screen quality and Face ID after the repair?' — and favouring repairers who state their parts grade and warranty their work in writing.
Repair or replace? The 50% rule
If the repair costs less than half of what your phone is worth, repair it. A £180 screen on an iPhone 14 worth £400 makes sense. A £250 screen on a phone worth £220 does not — trade it in as-is (cracked phones still hold value) and put the money toward a certified refurbished upgrade.
One more factor: if your battery health is also below 85%, price the screen and battery together. Combined repairs share labour, which is why our multi-fault quotes apply an automatic discount.

How long does a screen repair take?+
Most screen replacements are same-day — often within the hour once the device is on the bench. Posted repairs are typically back with you within 48–72 hours, tracked the whole way.
Will a screen repair void my warranty?+
On an out-of-warranty phone there is nothing to void. Our repairs carry their own warranty, and every fix passes a full diagnostic before it leaves the bench.
